The aquatic specialists at SeaWorld/Discovery Cove hired Bottled Ocean to replace a handicap-viewing panel in one of Discovery Cove’s most popular exhibits, Swim with the Dolphins. As the multi-million gallon exhibit couldn’t be emptied, and traditional window replacement methods were not an option, there was no room for error.
Bottled Ocean came up with an innovative solution to replace the window without disturbing the dolphins and without draining the waterway. Engineering had to be perfect, and the design had to resolve the current issue. After weeks of careful planning and construction, the window was replaced and installed after hours over two evenings, and was ready for park guests in 72 hours.
Bottled Ocean’s unique approach to this theme park aquatic project resulted in a tremendous cost savings to the client compared to the alternative methods of window replacement. Bottled Ocean maintains a close relationship with SeaWorld/Discovery Cove and all of their fishy friends.
